1983 Yamaha YAS-32 "Purple Logo" Alto Saxophone – Player's Grade Mojo – 100% Playable Vintage Workhorse
£725.00
A verified 1983 vintage Yamaha YAS-32 "Purple Logo" intermediate/advanced alto saxophone, manufactured in Japan by Nippon Gakki (Serial Number: 023715). This is a true "Player's Grade" instrument that wears its decades of rich musical history proudly on its sleeve. The horn shows honest lacquer wear, surface scratches, and a few minor dinks consistent with its age, giving it a beautifully authentic, broken-in "vintage jazz club" aesthetic. Structurally, the body tube and neck are completely straight, and the tone holes are perfectly true. Acoustically, this horn is an absolute powerhouse. Early YAS-32 models from this specific era share the exact same bore geometry and body tube configuration as the legendary flagship professional YAS-62 of the time. It produces a massive, focused, and deeply resonant tone with a beautiful core. Mechanically, the instrument is in great shape. It has been fully play-tested and seals perfectly, blowing seamlessly from low Bb straight up through the altissimo register. This is the ultimate sleeper gigging horn—offering world-class professional acoustics at a fraction of the price, without the constant anxiety of putting the first blemish on a pristine collector's piece.
